Donor Opportunities & Other Ways You Can Help New Horizons Academy and the Planet
How to get involved:
There are many ways for you to contribute to the campaign to help us become the first LEED® Platinum-Certified school in Nevada. (LEED® Platinum is the highest level of recognition a green building can achieve.) Your support “pays in forward” for healthier schools for children everywhere.

Capital Campaign:
The 1,000 Friends campaign to fund New Horizons Academy’s Energy Education Station is made possible through the support of generous individuals, foundations and corporations. If you would like to contribute to the capital campaign, please contact Jan McAdams, Project Coordinator, 702-526-8833 or Dr. Roger D. Gehring, Executive Director, New Horizons Academy, 702-876-1181.
New Horizons Academy has set a fundraising goal to secure $2,000,000 or more by December 31, 2008 to cover the costs of completing the project's construction documents including the ongoing LEED documentation. Cash gifts of any size are appreciated and naming opportunities are available. The 4 levels of friends and the respective donor benefits are outlined in the “1,000 Friends of New Horizons Academy” brochure. Click here to download the brochure.
Big news—On October 3rd the Nevada Power Foundation presented NHA with a grant in the amount of $87,500 to cover the green building project’s initial design expenses. We are so appreciative of their ongoing support for our green campus.
