• December 17, 2007, The Discovery Channel film crew travels to New Horizon Academy to film a documentary on the Demonstration Green Classroom Project
• Tuesday, April 22, 2008, New Horizons Academy Celebrated Earth Day by announcing the launch of the Capital Campaign for the new 35,000 sf zero net energy campus building that will seek LEED Platinum Certification. The more than 40 guests included Master of Ceremonies Steve Rypka, City Councilwoman Lois Tarkarian and Representatives from Senators Reid and Ensign�s office.
